The Healing Roadmap We’re All Desperate For
Dear One,
Have you ever been handed a new food plan? A savvy food plan, just for you, promising exactly what you were searching for? Designed to perfectly align with your unique systems biology? To correct nutrient deficiencies and beautifully address your problems like only food can? (Maybe this plan was even endorsed by a favorite NYTimes best-selling author!)
You take it with you, tail wagging hard at the possibilities in front of you, but find yourself, instead, crashing (hard!) into a big ‘ol unexpected, disappointing (devastating!) wall.
You know the one. The wall of “I’m utterly incapable of making this work.” “I don’t even know where to start.” “I’m a total freaking failure.”
Only you’re not (a failure). I am. Or whoever handed that food plan to you is. Or we both are—me for not seeing you weren’t ready, you for not seeing you weren’t ready.
See, we’re not just consumers of food. We’re people. Whole people. Nuanced people. Complicated and messy people.
We don’t just need a food plan. We need a healing plan that food fits into.
We need a healing plan that gives us a roadmap. A roadmap that shows us how to eat but also leads us on a journey of how to prepare for the change, and how to complement what we eat with how to live the rest of our lives to keep us on a trajectory of healing.
A roadmap that shows us the bird’s eye view of the terrain of our healing lives. So we can choose. So we can jump in where we need to at this time. So we can change course if we feel over our heads. Or need more preparation.
Whew. So glad that roadmap’s finally here.
Please welcome my labor of love, my new book, HEAL: A Nine-Stage Roadmap to Recover Energy, Reverse Chronic Illness, and Claim the Potential of a Vibrant New You.
Based on the science of human potential—epigenetics, neuroplasticity, core systems biology, and body-mind psychology—the revolutionary science of Functional Medicine, and the wisdom of Life School, this book is for you, my dear companions in this healing life.
So glad you’re here with me.
Love,
Karyn
