I’ve long loved the comfort and deliciousness of my favorite Golden Milk recipe, but a friend helped me take it to a whole new level of ecstasy!
Coffee.
You heard me right—how delightfully naughty is that?
First, here’s my Golden Milk recipe. In addition to it’s yummy-ness, I love that its ingredients support my energy and reduce inflammation. I drink it warm—so soothing in the months of winter.
Golden Milk
1-can full fatted coconut milk
1-teaspoon turmeric
1-teaspoon powdered or fresh minced ginger
1/8th-teaspoon black pepper
¼-teaspoon cardamom
Place all this in a saucepan over medium heat. Whisk well to combine. Add a bit of whatever is missing for you. Need it sweeter? Plop a little maple syrup in there. Spicier? A dash of cayenne pepper. A teaspoon or more of unsweetened cocoa is delicious as well!
Enter my friend who introduced me to Golden Milk and Coffee… New heights, my friends, new freaking heights:
Fill your mug about half way with the Golden Milk you just concocted. Now, add freshly brewed coffee to taste. Or maybe you want to do it the other way around—fill your mug with the fresh brewed coffee, and add the Golden Milk to taste. Half-full of each makes a fine latte.
I like to make enough Golden Milk to last a few days (keep it in the fridge)… oh, yah.
Have a Beautiful day!
