Trust your body–it will never lie or judge you.
Have you struggled in your relationship with your body—like me?
I used to be completely disconnected from mine. I thought my mind was in the control seat and my body was just my servant—to submit to my absolute authority. I ignored it, pushed it, abused it, and rejected it, not knowing it was the source of who I was, the answers to all my questions, and the gateway to my freedom and happiness.
When I began to pay attention, I noticed how my body always told me— unequivocally, without pretense, without holding back, without deception—all that I needed to know. About me. About my state of health and energy. About my emotions and feelings. About the people and experiences around me.
The anxiety? That was overwhelm and the toxic people in my life. The fatigue? Pushing myself too hard—needing to sleep and rest more. The persistent anger? My body’s warning that I needed stronger boundaries, to stand up for myself, and to say “no” more clearly. The migraines and joint pain? I had to pay more attention to the food that I ate.
Here’s the best part of cultivating a relationship with my body: it never lies or judges—I can trust it and am always empowered by it. It’s the clearest and purest source of wisdom I’ve ever had. It tells me the truth in ways my mind can’t (all those stories about the way things are that get in the way!).
They say our bodies are our temples. I get that now. And I see it in my clients every day. How their new self-care plans lead to renewed energy and happiness, but also to unexpected insights and understanding about their deepest selves. How did a new food plan and better sleep unlock such potential?
They started caring for their temples and listened to what they had to say: body wisdom—always there, now available for them to discover.
Trust your body. Take care of your body. Listen to your body.
It will never lie or judge you.
Have a Beautiful day!
